Sparkle!

"Sparkle!" is a delightfully rhythmical work. The contrasting middle section adds a peaceful dimension to an otherwise energetic piece.

"Sparkle!" was written in honor of Lynn Klock's retirement from UMass-Amherst, and was premiered at the 2014 New England Saxophone Symposium. The fabric of the music is built from a two-note theme representing the word sparkle, one of Mr. Klock's favorite adjectives to use when teaching.
