Mancini Digs That Mambo

Mancini Digs That Mambo

Regular price $15.00
Sax Quartet | SATB / AATB | Medium-Advanced | Item SQ1005

Take your audiences on a trip to Cuba—or Spanish Harlem—for a little taste of mambo.  Your quartet and your audiences will love this fun, memorable piece.  There are optional improvised solos for your Soprano & Tenor players, though they may opt to play the a notated solo.

The economical, catchy melody is a nod to Henri Mancini, and a bit reminiscent of his "It Had Better Be Tonight" from his rich Pink Panther soundtrack.

You may consider bundling this work with its sisters, "Paquito de Habana" and "whatever Stan wants".  These three pieces were composed to work together as the Latinizations Suite, and to be performed as stand-alone pieces.
