"Cityscapes" is one of my most widely-played works. It has been performed at Henri Selmer Hall in Paris, the Royal Albert Hall in London, the US Navy Saxophone Symposium in DC, the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic, and the International Music Education Symposium in Greece.
The classical-jazz crossover feel is comparable to Phil Woods' quartets. Optional ad-lib parts in the soprano and alto are included, with alternate scoring available to feature tenor instead of alto.
"Cityscapes" was commissioned by the outstanding Osland Saxophone Quartet, and is the opening selection on their CD Commission: Impossible.
