Git-Down Time

"Git-Down Time" is a catchy Saturday-night-barn-dance kind of piece. Built on a 24-bar F blues, it's an accessible improvisation vehicle for all levels. It features a nice ensemble chorus and an over-the-top ending.

This arrangement is based on the jazz ensemble piece Pocono Git-Down recorded by Rick Hirsch's Big Ol' Band (as heard above).

As part of the combo-flex series, it works with many combinations of horn players, and with as few as 1 horn + rhythm section.
