Play it Again, Sammy

Nestico, straight-ahead.  "Play it Again, Sammy" is a medium-relaxed swing chart in the classic 60's Basie mold.

Beware of demanding brass ranges, and look for the solos for trumpet and piano. "Sammy" makes a great concert or festival opener.

The recording above is from the Northern Illinois University Jazz Ensemble's CD On the Road with the Mode.  I am the bari player on this band during my grad. school days in the mid-90s.
