Suspended

If there were such a thing as Big Band Minimalism this would be it. "Suspended" is built on a single repeating figure that works its way through a shifting harmonic landscape.

"Suspended" is truly a one-of-a-kind work for jazz ensemble. It has accessible brass ranges, some brass mutes, and an optional soprano double for your lead sax player. 

The recording above was made by a band I assembled in Central PA, featuring Pittsburgh's Curtis Johnson on Soprano Saxophone.
