"Nebula" is an uncommonly dark and brooding work for jazz ensembleĀ that will complement just about anything else on your program.Ā ListenĀ forĀ mallets on the drums, unusual harmonies and gestures in the brass, and a strange groove in the bass instruments.
Like some music fromĀ Stan Kenton'sĀ library, "Nebula" has an orchestral vibe with fairly conventional big band scoring. You'll find ad-lib space for your trumpet and trombone soloists.Ā
